Let me ask a stupid question...and probably show my ignorance...

When looking at the candlestick charts on stockcharts.com....the up days are filled white...but the down days are either black or red. What is the significance if the candlestick is black vs. Red?

Can't seem to get the answer on stockcharts.com.

now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
