This article seems to indicate that users may be able to access some of the new services provided in the white spaces without having to purchase a license. It does not indicate that broadband services can be provided without a license

Right... but that isn't the only use for this. Like others have said... microhpones, cordless headsets, cordless home phones, routers for home or business networks... anything that uses radio signals where you want really good range and penetration through solids...

Andhow many of you have one of those FM transmitter things for your iPod, Sirius/XM, etc? Color outside the lines a little, Cassandra ;)
