Post Madoff I consider it wise to be cautious and resist the fun of cheerleading. (I know of some real folks who did get misled by the impeccably credentialed Madoff).
IMHO it will be a major step to convert lab results (whatever they are) into long term in the field performance.
Conventional solar panels have been in the field a few years so we know something about their performance. Too many of the systems I have known have had "unfortunate" unexpected maintenance costs.
I have for long noted that conventional roof top solar technology conveniently ignores the risk of (a) maintenance of the system and (b)higher re-roofing expense whenever it might be needed.
A large amount of good luck is always a welcome outcome. OK I will keep my questions to myself.
