These patent lawsuits are the new income stream since just a couple years ago... check out vhc. Won a patent lawsuit from microsoft, claims microsoft uses it but microsoft doesn't seem to have that patent active at all. Vhc had less than 8000 dollars in income for years until that lawsuit. I see a big similarity patent wise as income generating model to Monsanto...
