Please correct if I'm wrong, but my understanding of the Bollinger bands is that they are + or - 1 Standard deviation from the moving average. If the moving average has settled down to be almost constant then the variation around that indicator will be zero. Thus showing the tighting. do you base your analysis on historical observation or is it that there just little room for the short to make a profit or we have established a firm base and it is unlikly we will go lower. I don't see how the tighting indicates an imminent upsurge
