RYANAIR has indicated that it might shortly drop its experimental in-flight entertainment system due to a lack of take up by passengers. Whilst an essential for long haul services the idea of films on board has been proven not to work on typical 90 minute European services, the movie often longer than the flight, and not considered worth the £5 charge levied to passengers. Ryanair says that the cost of the trial has been met by the equipment supplier and still believes that there is a market for on-board CD's and IPod at some point in the future. http://www.ryanair.com top
