re: Rodman article, I'm actually quite confused what to believe. There's certainly enough evidence of fraud in many places, and part of the image that Rodman claims the Chinese business owners are trying portray is one that's fed by success, and sometimes you need fraud to portray success. Gotta take our China Growth stocks on an individual basis, but in general I can say that I'm trying to steer clear of the VIEs, unless there's a good chart! ;^)
