At a current valuation of $10M, less than 25% of the 'expected value' of $40M (2% likelihood of commercial oil times $2B if there is commercial oil), the market is betting that any financing will come at a very steep price. Even Sure Capital will take a percent of margin, and SmartWin would have owned 50% of the company.
Having said that, we all certainly hope that funding is forthcoming at whatever cost. A smaller percent of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing, our current situation.
With 477M shares outstanding, it would take a lot of affiliated credit cards to move the needle.
