Ref - Yesterday's Analysts meeting & Manitoba samples.

I was intrigued by the statement that Manitoba is already sampling. Does anybody know if Manitoba uses 0.13micron or 0.09 micron lithography ? Manitoba is Internet on a chip product which will allow a single chip cell phone, or a single chip PDA with wireless connectivity. This chip has a XScale processor,Flash memory, SRAM and RF signal processsing on a single silicon chip, and this is a major technical milestone. Texas Instruments is quite a while away from this capability. So this might give Intel a big opening in the cellular handset market, and possibly break TI's iron grip on this businesss. The cellular handset market is next in size to the computer market, so this might mean a significant upside for Intel within two years.

Otherwise the Analyst Meeting reconconfirmed that Intel will continue its domination of the computer business for the forseeable future.However computing has reached a temporary plateau, and success in the cellular marketplace may be the engine for future growth.
