GIANT=Gold mineralization occurs at the Giant Prospect within a
quartz vein and stringer zone situated within and near the south
margin of the shear zone. It appears to be narrow but consistently
developed along the shear zone. In the high grade pits located 95
meterseast of the East Shaft, the vein appears to be repeated by
folding and lensing to the point where it is in excess of 2 meters
wide. Chip samples from a 1.4 meters section of the vein in this
area contain values consistently greater than 1 oz/ton, Au (Glatz,
1989, prospecting report; 1993 personal communication). One grab
sample contained 17.36 oz/ton, Au.ALEX=Shafts: From repeated sampling, shaft #2, 5 and eight have yielded the better gold values. Shaft #two gave consistent economic assays, with the best sample
running 2.28 ounces gold/ton when sampled by Corona Gold who expressed interest in the ground. This shaft has a large dump of possible ore grade material. Shaft #five has similar material as #two but the veins seem to be smaller. Shaft #eight yielded up to 1.4 o/t Au
