AF TRADER
Paula- although Im not willing to go into details for fear of a lawsuit, I just wanted to chime in that my experiences with AF Trader were horrendous. Be extremely careful, and I would highly recommend you put a fraction of your money into the account and get a 'feel' for them before using them.
I filed a complaint with the SEC over a trade that was busted without my authorization, I had referred about 5 friends to them over the year I used the service and each one of them had an incredible struggle closing their accounts.. Actually, they also kept all 5 of my friends on an 'active' list with account balances of .01 as I understand there is benefit to them keeping the account active..
All my opinions.. but I see you here alot, and felt compelled to voice my opinions about a broker that in my opinion shouldnt be in the business. In fact,when I cancelled my account? The owner had me on the phone for over 30 minutes.. which stunned me because my account is rather small compared to the average investor.. I believe his name was Joe?
Im only trying to help and believe me, there is no vested interest in posting this opinion.. but my experience with them was so horrible that I just cant sit here and watch a group of people jump into something just because of the commission charges. You should consider brokerageamerica which is much more professional..
