8% is converted to an off-gas similar to natural gas (IsleChem)
.08 x 20,000 kg = 1600 kg
this is a factor of two greater than needed (IsleChem)
so, 800 kg "natural gas" is used per day, or 33 kg per hr
1 kg NG has about 45K BTUs..... (similar for butane, etc)...
33 x 45,000= 1.5 M BTU/ hr provided by half the off-gas
so, it seems I am not too far off with a 1M BTU guesstimate for the heating needs, using the different route shown above......
