I calculate that roughly 800K-1M BTU/hr would be needed to heat 20 tons of plastic by 500 deg C during one day, with no losses figured into that....

to remove the same heat would require cooling capacity of about 80 ice-tons.......that capacity is about what 25 large homes would use in the dead of summer for air-conditioning, as a comparison......

PS: note, these are approximate "back of napkin" calculations to get a feel for needed condenser capacity to process 20 tons per day......as usual, my guesstimate sitting out here....but it should give a rough idea of the condenser specs needed.....
