There is a general tendency to read too deep into what's posted on these boards, and there is a general tendency for people to shortcut posts.

For example if a person says blahblah buy and hold blah blah on the board, a person can only get what the exact syntax is. If you speak to them in person you can get clarification and ask questions and you may find out that they meant something different from what you interpreted.
