The Odessa plant, Inland Empire Oilseed has closed down and 21 of their 26 employees were let go.
There have been big media events for 'Grand Openings' and the 'start of production', but the results were just only many more months of down time and more excuses.
It is one thing to get money from investors, who willingly take risks, but millions of Washington State tax payer’s dollars have been borrowed in this Green Star/Inland Empire Oilseed/Odessa Public Authority (OPDA) project. This money has to be paid back.
In opinion I believe there might be a case for fraud here or misuse of public funds. I also think there was a massive lack of due diligence by the OPDA in the eager scramble to get the government loans.
There will be a demand for an investigation.
Here is something about the closure; Please keep in mind that they were in trouble a long time before the $1 tax credit was discontinued this year.

The plants doors are still closed and it looks dead. Rumors are there are many bills unpaid.
Here is something about the man that Green Star chose as the projects General Manager, Brooks Agnew;
It’s almost like they were mocking us! There has been an incredible amount of hype (bullshit) and fan fare concerning this project...all in an effort to get funding. I think it's the only thing that all of these people concerned are really good at.
