It appears the driving motivation behind all this is the $3.5b purchase by GoldCorp.

At $3.5b, our shares would be worth approx. $66/share

And I think Bill sees an even greater valuation for GORO.

I like that they are making a very measured response to a bull market and want to be ready if and when a really spectacular offer came from one of the majors.

Although, there's no desperation here ... just good business practice in action!
