So, you are stating that SP, a seasoned business man, got caught by surprise by the thourouness of a legitimate audit. Do you think he would use "creative ways" in the previous financial report and expect that Baker Tilly would not find it?

SP may not be the best with dates and releasing news, but he is not stupid. I still find it hard to believe he would retain BT and pay them big $ to do an audit that will only uncover bad numbers.
