The program sort of worked on my wife's laptop when I first downloaded the patch, however today when I turned the laptop on I turn xdev on using its symbol next to to the start button lower side. It came up but I coud not access my files, but it worked when I entered the stock manually. I then closed it, went to other matters. I came back later and opened the xdev from the shortcut on the screen, it failed, same old problem. Right now I think I downloaded the patch before I had uninstalled the program. I really don't have it working right now. The problem is more severe on my desktop where I get nothing at all. I am having surgery Oct 1, so I wiil be out of it for 3-6 weeks. Stocks are the least of my concerns and here I am thinking about whether xdev will function again. Good luck in getting xdev running. I think I have handled Russ's patch etc very poorly. Anyway I will look at it in spare time this last week and if I can't get it going by Oct 1. You may not get messages from me at this site. Just keep working with Myst, I think his intentions are very good, I look back the last ten years or so and he has managed to walk me through several restart. I got a guidance from myst on Sept 25, but my mind is all bosched up with drugs and testing this last few days, so I think I screwed up my last attempt to recover xdev.
