There are more issues with those short numbers than most people are aware of. For instance, shares that are traded by people using a margin account, which is the kind of account most traders use because it is a way around the T plus 3 rule, are considered "short" shares. Obviously they are not, and it also means that those short numbers that they list are in a constant state of flux and change because each day new shares settle, that were never short to begin with, and alter their figures. So to say those FINRA numbers are inaccurate is being a little generous.

You can also go to various pay sites that give short interest figures and find yet another completely different set of numbers than those you find on the OTC site that you provided.

Getting a TRULY ACCURATE accounting of how large or small the short interest is on a given stock is really a pretty daunting task.

"Sort of" is harmless "Sort of". Is a filler. But sometimes, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
