Sorry, I should have clarified that before the 'edit' feature timed out...3600rpm is for a 2-pole generator in North America fossil fuels. 1800rpm would be the 4-pole generators that nuclear fuel operates at in North America. Both at 60hz versus the 50hz machines that were referenced in the post.

A 3000rpm turbine would be located in the region of 50hz machines. North America operates at 60hz (3600rpm)
