Not sure if you guys subscribed to the Monk emails or not. Thought I would post one though, very inspiring.

MONK'S DEN

MONDAYS WITH MONK

Good morning all it’s Monday…

Well it’s pretty safe to say this has been one exciting week… Plenty of major developments on so many fronts.

By now you all know a good bit about the future of Monk’s Den and the direction it is heading. I have to say I am so pleased by the reactions and feedback I have received… I look forward to the upcoming events and filling everyone in on a few other surprises.

I would like to once again touch on the Atlanta class, as I have been hearing from many of the folks in attendance as to how they are doing… I would say at least half of the class has been able to send me personal notes as to how they have been progressing. And, the notes from the families in attendance has to be my favorite... and those who are sharing what they have learned with their families… Did I mention, this is why we do this…?

The goal is to make as many people as possible financially free, to not be dependent on the economy or tied to any particular job. I was recently out to dinner with a Den member here in CT that was in the Atlanta class… He asked me if I felt this was my contribution to “world peace”. He was kind of joking... but, then we thought about it and, you know what… it kind of is. Think about it… if folks are financially free then they are likely to have far less stress in their lives, and thus, more likely to be enjoying life in general. Seriously, and I realize this is a bit philosophical but, while money can’t buy happiness it sure does make life a lot easier. As another friend of mine recently said to me… “I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor. Rich is better!”

And for those that wonder why I do this that I do with Monk’s Den… I would say it’s all about helping people. I realize that some of you have no idea what I mean by that… it’s more than just teaching folks. Monk’s Den has donated tens of thousands of dollars this past year to various causes and in some cases individuals that need help. I won’t be completely specific but, I was approached by one of the Den members who is involved in a very worthy cause in Pittsburgh and that cause lost a major donor this year, so I stepped in and replaced them. Nothing makes you feel better than helping out folks that need it. That being said, in 2011 I will be setting up an official Monk’s Den Foundation for such causes. Further details will follow.

Now… Grand Junction is coming up soon, and I think we have around 50 folks signed up… I look forward to meeting and interacting with more members of the Den!

The Boston advanced class is coming up quickly as well and I have to say that is looking to be the largest advanced class yet. I will definitely have a few surprises in store for that class. Shhh, don’t tell Mel…

As many of you know, I am flying back to Phoenix today, so I won’t be on line but, I will catch up once I land and see what’s cooking.. should be a fun week in the Den.
