No idea....but historically speaking, mysterious pops in SP and volume after a lull usually preceed news.

But that is just what sometimes happens...no way to know what is going on.

The fact that the SP looks to be mysteriously headed up instead of down might suggest to someone who likes to speculate that if news were to come out, it would be good.

If one were to blatantly speculate, that is.

Oh, and I think this is the point where "smart money" either buys or sells...because they probably have the inside track to info, being smart and all.
