OT: EP, I spent about ten months working outside of Vegas at the NTS. That was the best work-travel experience I ever had. Weekends out there were great....downhill mountain biked Mt. Charleston, hiked Redrocks and Valley of Fire quite a bit. Made weekend trips to Bryce and Zion Canyons....and did a little through hiking at Great Basin National Park. There's so much great stuff to do out there.

Then at work at the NTS I saw some of the craziest things I've ever seen. Even if you are ant--nuke, it's still interesting to see what's out there. Did you ever look into taking the tour of it: http://www.nv.doe.gov/nts/tours.htm
