Thanks again.
Today is my day off for those of you wondering how I can post at work. I am a board certified OB/GYN. I am a senior partner in metropolitan group that does about 600 deliveries/yr.

In my practice I utilize ultrasound, x-ray, CT, and MRI on a regular basis.

The risk after approval is the following: it may not be as good as other modalities (head to head) already in use. Even if it has 3-D, fits through a standard door, and runs on 110v. Diagnostic performance matters the most.

The flip side to that is the following: it only has to be "as good" as the existing modalities to be very profitable. Not only will emergency rooms and radiology depts. want one, but the price point is well within the reach of multi-specialty groups and physician practices. For example,an orthopedic group would just lease it. No big deal. Forget just selling it to hopsitals.
