Oh Ray yes i have seen it before, again on securities where MM needs shares. I do think in your case it may have shown if you take off the AON, try next time and see (i never use AON- MM's are allowed to de-prioritize AON orders and for me they almost never got filled so i havent used in long time)

Today i had bids at 004 and 0041 but they are moving up next week unless the right side of L2 changes and becomes heavily stacked on the ask.

Ray, please take this general advice on any stock trading, never hit the buy or sell button w/o looking at L2 first. If the ask side is "thin" that is better time to slap the ask. If the ask side is heavy (like say 4-5+ MM's stacked at one PPS ask or within one tick of each other), then that is better time to sit on the bid or even wait to bid if there is high sell volume cause you might expect its going lower unless the left (buy) side of L2 is stacked even heavier. i may move a bid up/down several times in a day depending on MM behavior.

Example: Today near end of day we saw Knight was best (lowest) ask @ 012 and then no MM on ask until 024. That is a huge gap and is ULTRA thin on the ask side. We saw best (highest) bid at 0066, again huge bid/ask gap. In that case and combined with the low volume, the chances of getting a bid fill under the best bid are very low. I only put my bid support 004 and 0041 to "protect" the base pps in the event a big seller comes in unexpectedly, otherwise i did not expect a fill. Sometimes I may have 4-5 bids like that on a stock and even route them through different MM's and create my own wall of support on the stock at the pps range i pick (dont need to here on nvlx due to low volume). Otherwise i was not really looking to buy more today, but if i was, given the L2 scenario above, I would have bid over the best bid. If the best ask came down from 012 to say under 01, i would've slap it at the ask.

hope this helps
