Before discussing strategies for our trader, I'm not sure everyone here agrees on the actual goal. Is it..

(1) Add long-term value by buying back as CHEAPLY as possible?
(2) Provide short-term share price relief and market confidence by trying to push up the share price and/or block short attemps to push the price down.
(3) Some combination of (1) and (2).
