Some of you may think this is off topic, since it's not about the stock, it's about the product. The following is my assessment of the reverse tapered grip after one trip to the driving range. If you're not a golfer, hit the next button :)

Okay, I couldn't get to the range until after work. To recap, I had the full release reverse tapered grip put on my driver. First of all, it looks really good, and it FEELs great. The reverse taper doesn't feel like a regular grip; the effect in your hands is immediately noted. The right hand (for a right hander) has more of the grip in its grasp. I was actually surprised by the amount of taper; it is for all practical purposes, reversed. By that I mean, the narrow end in your left hand is as small as the narrow end of a regular grip in your right, and vice versa for the larger end. I guess I just expected it to be more subtle. The end of the grip has a small expansion to add a measure of grip for the left hand; also like a baseball bat, but not nearly as pronounced.

The right hand has more control over the club. I played with a few shots, but there's not much to do with a driver. I'm not good enough to power-fade every drive, but I could definitely change the ball flight pretty easily. I believe it gives me more control to correct whatever problem with my drive shows up on any given day. Golfers reading this know that a slice or a fade can pop up one day, and you just have to work it out. The right hand has an easier job with this grip.

I can tell that I don't want to switch back and forth between reverse and regular tapered grips, so I'm going with the full set of FEELs for all my clubs. I believe it'll be good for my game.
