I think it would be in the best interest of Cypress to at least pretend they gave the offer some thought. Maybe they will take it or maybe they have more shareholders backing them up for a different outcome? If it's the latter - they might just respond more quickly then we think.
I think we should check out who are the majority shares holders in this. We know Wellington Management owns 14%. That's a fair chunk. Ramius obviously needs them on their side - but what if they are on the side of Cypress?
