Absolutely yes along with the LWD logs (Log whilst drilling), you normally know the minute you go through the reservoir, the information from the seismic gives the size of the tank (you already did that seismic work ahead of time). The well tells you what's in the tank. Usually within a few days of drilling you can get an excellent estimate if that particular prospect is commercial or not. I don't buy all this rubbish about analysis taking time.

Also as a rule no news in this business is bad news. Companies can't wait to shout about their sucesses.

So why the extension? Yes I find this is quite puzzling. I think you are right to point to strategic reasons for the extension but for a different purpose than you may be suggesting. If you want my opinion on the delay I would offer that it's down to Chinese reluctance to relinquish acreage.

However, all just my interpretation of it.
