Looks like albuterol just speeds up the benefit of the drug, and eventually (between 12 and 18 months) the non-albuterol group nearly catches up.

Much of the benefit of adding albuterol came from increased walking-scores, so there is an outside chance the improvement reflects improved lung function.

Be interesting to try the isomer of albuterol (Sepracor's drug) - might get same (or better) result with fewer side effects.
