Problem is you are confusing share price with par value.

If a company uses 2 billion shares to purchase something it is the price of the shares that determine the value NOT the par value.

2 billion shares x 0.0005 = $400,000

i.e Google stock has a par value of 0.001

If they bought a company for shares it would NOT be at 0.001/share value but at $482/share value
