Agreeing with the other reply I saw, no, Seeking Alpha writers are not paid AFAIK.

However... as with anything on the internet, be very careful in evaluating the pedigree of the writer. One particular one comes to mind - a guy who wrote article after article about the soon-to-be liftoff in E-Trade's stock price (which never happened, btw). Every month or so like clockwork it was E-Trade or some similar stock.

You could read his story history and see what was going on. Eventually he was repeatedly challenged and quit writing his stock pushing "opinions".

Just my 2 cents.
