But, there is another side to it imo.
This is and has never been a 'normal' company. It's just a investment vehicle, an 'option on hydrocarbons'.
Just imagine how unbelievably frustrated mister Offor must be, with this worthless behaviour of Dan Keeney and management.
I'm sure if he had the power to kick those failures out of this company, he would have done so immediately...
Oh, wait... he can! : )
And, officially, Offor knows as much as we do, yes, lol!
From BB's post:
Peter Ntephe backed up the 4'th Quarter announcement timeframe in early December 2009 when he told shareholders:
"A little patience, we’re just a few weeks away, hopefully, from saying YES, this is what we found down there, this is the nature of the hydrocarbons we found down there."

And then....then.....during the December 15, 2009 CC when questioned about drill results states something to the effect..."weeks....months....whats the difference".
DK attempts to smooth over the CEO's comments by telling shareholders in the FAQ:
"If you look at the context of Mr. Ntephe's statement on the video, you will see that he was actually juxtaposing the time it has taken the Company and its longtime shareholders to get to this point versus the time left before results are known."

It's 100% certain that Peter was not "juxtaposing". If Peter was really juxtaposing, he would have spoken in general terms like "it won't take long anymore", imo.
I also think that Peter thought at that time, that if drilling results were known, they would have been disclosed to the public immediately.
He forgot about behind the scene negotiations...
Dan:
"and also said that the information that has been released is significantly more than is typical in circumstances such as the JDZ in which there are remaining operatorships to be awarded and a nearby exploration zone to be licensed. He and Dan Gralla noted that in more than four years Chevron has not released the results of drilling the Obo well, presumably for competitive reasons."
"And yes, as ERHC management and others have noted in the past, there are very sound strategic reasons why an operator may not be inclined to release detailed drilling information to the market and its competitors. ERHC is not the operator."
