While the desktop part seems to be slipping, it looks like AMD is going to push ahead with the server version in Q2. That has the potential to be a very strong contender vs Xeon. If AMD is able to ship the 4P platforms, then it could be a very strong contender vs Xeon MP as well. According to the guy from Newisys that I spoke to at MPF, they already have 4P and 8P platforms up and running, and stability is very good.
