OK, I finally got ahold of Mark Knight at Transfer Online, and here's what he said: I have to send these certificates to him with a form from their site, and he'll send me something called a "free trading certificate". Then, I have to sign up to a different company other than Ameritrade to cash them in. Can you believe this crap? I use Ameritrade because they don't charge extra to trade in large amounts of shares. I used to use Sharebuilder, then E-Trade, but they both cost extra to do large transactions, Ameritrade cost the same no matter what the amount of shares are. Unbelievable.
