RTR Global receives second power purchase agreement from PG&E

GDT Tek, a company focused on renewable and sustainable energy technologies, has announced that its subsidiary, RTR Global Investments, has acquired its second power purchase agreement from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

The term of the contract is for 20 years. The contract states that Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will purchase all electricity produced by GDT Tek's subsidiary RTR Global up to 1.5MW.

RTR's patented Green process will convert waste heat into electricity at the facilities located at the Santa Cruz Landfill, tiered over the 20-year term and purchase prices ranges between $0.09/kW to $0.12/kW.

Bo Linton, president of GDT Tek, said: "With up to $100 million debt financing obtained through Janco Partners and business interruption insurance obtained through Willis Insurance we are implementing our 9MW power purchase agreements as we begin deployment of our green equipment at these land fill locations. We are very pleased to be working with the reputable companies PG&E, Janco Partners, and Willis Insurance.
