I think the fear of Trans Fat (partially hydrogenated oils) is killing Krispy Kreme. I just discovered this term a year ago and was educated on how much a killer it is. 100% greater chance of dying from a heart attack in multiple studies.

By 2006, the FDA is going to force all food manufactures to list the % of Trans Fat in their products and you will see the word "hydrogenated" almost disappear from ingredient lists. Last year, we cleaned out our pantry removing any product with the word "hydrogenated" as the 2nd or 3rd ingredient. The stuff is a killer and Krispy Kreme doughnuts are full of it.
