SOooo, if there's no short covering going on with this F/S then there really is no reason to do it EXCEPT increase A/S giving the company more shares to work with imvho.
Another weak explanation could be, volume might increase making the stock more volitile.
Trying to figure out a CEO's reasons for doing this is like pitching pennies.
WELL, we still don't know if the F/S will come off - like the stock buyback PR that didn't materialize. (I'm glad it didn't and I might be glad this won't happen either)
You know, when you go fishing you throw the hook in the murky water, hoping, and sometimes you pull up a whopper and other times you might just have minnows nibbling.
My own take is the company should concentrate on it's platforms and get the whole picture hung first.
