Dirty Dave Update:..We are expecting a Tropical Storm to a Hurricane here in R.I. on Friday.So I had to prepare.Power outages are almost certain. So I went downstairs and checked my Coleman Lantern to see if it worked.I used it for night fishing ( I used to fish for Scup ) Anyways,I haven't used it in 15 years and one of the battery compartments was corroded from the batteries leaking.I told Mrs.Dirty I'd try "Winning Colours on the terminals full strength and hit them with steel wool.Battery acid is gone,I didn't have to scrape at the acid with a sharp object.Put in 8 new size 'D' batteries and the lantern worked.The corrosion was heavy.Most people might have bought a new lantern or used a toxic chemical to clean the compartment terminals....Thanks to Winning Colours I saved the lantern!! Just hope I don't have to use it,lol..... Thanks,Dirty
