House of Brussels Announces Accelerated Plans for First Major Drinking Chocolate Launch
HOUSTON, TEXAS, Feb 10, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
House of Brussels Chocolates ("Brussels" or "HBSL") (OTCBB:HBSL), through its CEO Grant Petersen, is pleased to announce that pursuant to its recently announced (December 13, 2004) exclusive distribution agreement with Schokinag Chocolate North America Inc. ("Schokinag") it will be selling its complete line of European Drinking Chocolate throughout Costco Wholesale Corporation, Western Division ("Costco") beginning February 21st.

Brussels initially expected this exciting product line to be available for delivery in late spring after our Drinking Chocolate packaging line was installed and operational. However, interest has been very strong due to an overwhelming amount of favorable publicity for Schokinag's Drinking Chocolate and copious advertising by a major specialty coffee retailer for its Drinking Chocolate.

Since announcing the agreement with Schokinag, HBSL's sales team has been aggressively marketing the Drinking Chocolate concept to its existing customers. The favorable response virtually assures Brussels a steady stream of orders commencing with the completion of our packaging assembly line. Fortunately, due to our long and favorable relationship with Costco, HBSL was able to procure packaged product directly from Schokinag to fulfill this early order.

To maximize sales and new customer acceptance of the Drinking Chocolate concept, HBSL will be working with Costco to promote the product line via an extensive sampling roadshow. Schokinag's "Big Tin" display booth will be traveling around the various Costco warehouses giving sampling demos and it is our strong opinion that once customers try Drinking Chocolate they will make purchases and continue to make purchases in the future. Not unexpectedly, the HBSL team and Costco are very excited about Schokinag's new European Drinking Chocolate line. Prepared with milk, no cocoa powder product has a chance at matching its elegance, refinement and velvety richness. It is a classic product made in the style of traditional European chocolate drinks of the 17th century with tiny bits of real chocolate.

Grant Petersen, CEO of Brussels, said, "We were inundated with inquiries over Schokinag's new Drinking Chocolate line at the Fancy Food show in San Francisco last month. Our initial intention had been to launch this summer, but due to the demand that we are seeing, we have accelerated our rollout. People are excited and we need to capitalize on their enthusiasm." Petersen went on to say, "Once we are co-packing at our new 85,000 S.F., state-of-the-art facility it is our further intention to aggressively address the Costco System, Nationwide." "Our sales team firmly believes that the Schokinag Drinking Chocolate line easily represents a multi-million dollar revenue stream," concluded Petersen.
