World Championship Full Contact (WCFC) events will now be available on Comcast's video-on-demand service (VOD) in the Mountain West region, with plans to expand the offerings to all 11 Western states and, ultimately, the entire U.S. market
In the future, the company expects to post additional WCFC content to Comcast in an edited format about ten days after a live event so as to not distract from the live broadcast and PPV demand.
"Introducing WCFC events and related content to Comcast subscribers is a significant step for the brand and is expected to increase awareness in the regions where it is offered," said Gary Nerison, Chairman of ActionView International. "Video-on-demand is increasing in popularity, and fight fans have demonstrated a willingness to pay for quality content such as that offered by the WCFC. We look forward to the expansion of this agreement so that our content is available to all Comcast subscribers around the United States."
