Legalizing online gambling is a hot topic these days no matter where you live and one land based casino operator is preparing itself for the huge potential the US market could bring. Caribbean Casino & Gaming Corporation announced that they have hired the consultants, Catania Gaming as their advisor for the potential of online gaming becoming licensed and regulated in the States.

Caribbean Casino & Gaming owns and operates the Sosua Bay Grand Casino in the Dominican Republic, which offers 82 slot machines as well as some table and card games, they are based out of Bradenton, Florida. They have hired the services of the consulting firm to help them navigate the waters of this rapidly changing industry and to be provided with their knowledge, ability and experience in building a US based model. Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Casino and Gaming said, “This is an investment which balances our efforts as a top online gaming company with live video. Adding the United States to our list of unlicensed countries will take us to the next step in our growing company”.

With the online gambling industry changing almost on a daily schedule recently, many land-based casinos could start thinking outside the box and start planning to expand into a legalized online gaming industry in the United States and other countries including Canada and Holland. Nevada based Harrah’s Casino has already taken the step into the online gambling industry by opening up their own poker site that is marketed over seas. With the legalization of online gaming in the US, Harrah’s and other big named Vegas Casinos will no doubt have some big decisions to make, are they in or are they out?
