diamond: NeoMedia is the "workaround" of other solutions so you are asking the question incorrectly.

From the buyer's point-of-view, the real question is are there "alternate solutions" for handling mobile barcodes besides NeoMedia. The answer is that, based on volume, 99% of barcodes are processed using alternate solutions.

Your point about behind-the-curtain transactions brings up the obvious question: if so many companies are using NeoMedia IP, what market share does NeoMedia need to have a positive cash flow? 50%? The revenues don't seem to match his statement.

Clearly, if the 60 patents statement were true, this does not translate into revenue or market share. And if those 60 patents were so important to 360 protection, why did Iain announce they were selling and giving away part of the portfolio. These data points simply don't match up.

Last, any penny stock needs PR so I think it is a little disconcerting if management is telling us that might not happen. We will know more about this in the next few days.
