Well, after accidently stumbling upon this place, I got interested enough to go back about 300 posts just to get some background. I gotta say that I've never had so much fun on a stock board, with huge respect for Churak and AKvetch. You guys are hilarious, and somehow remind me of an evening spent at "Dangerfield's" in New York City, about 20 years ago, while sitting at a table beside Jackie Mason and some other funnymen who's names escape me.A smattering of knowledge of the Yiddish language (is it really a language?) learnt while growing up in Montreal with lotsa Jewish friends, didn't hurt You guys are a riot, the admin guy, (Matt) sounds OK, too (even though the re-jailing of Churak, about 100 posts ago seemed like a knee-jerk reaction. Fortunatley for all it was corrected due to pressure from the great unwashed masses)as do others that have made my journey through here interesting.
One thing I must say is that as a moderator of a Board , my policies are not as strict as some. We don't condone personal attacks (there was enough of that going on on the RB, scaring off all the serious, informative posters), but have only removed 3 posts. Taking shots at the moderator (me), (and there seems to be no shortage of those), is not grounds for deletion, as it would seem too much like serving my own agenda.
Sending someone to this place, wouldn't be much of a (pun)-ishnent, (sorry), though, as far as I'm concerned.
