Food for thought: Anyone remember GERS .0001((now GERSD .0012 after 1/10 RS)GERSD 1.7 bil o/s mkt cap $2 mil, + 25/33 mil debt)

The following post from another board:

The 1 billion gallons is the amount of ethanol produced by their licensed customers.

Greenshift's 20% royalty comes from the sales of corn oil. The corn oil is removed from the 1 billion gallons of ethanol that their customers produce.

So the billion gallons of ethanol isn't produced by Greenshift, it's just a way to guage how much of the ethanol industry is removing corn oil.

I think the ethanol industry makes about 12 billion gallons a year right now.

You see, after ethanol is made, there's a byproduct that's left over called DDG(dried distillers grain). It's full of corn oil. In the past, they just fed this stuff to livestock animals. Greenshift invented the system that removes this corn oil so it can be turned into biodiesel fuel. The animals can't eat a lot of it anyway because high amounts of oil is too hard on their digestive systems.

Once removed, it allows animals to eat more DDG's, because it's healthier without all of the oil.

Corn oil extraction saves ethanol producers money because less electricity is used to dry the DDG.

Greenshift will extract about 88,000 gallons of corn oil a day.(32 million gallons a year) from these 1 billion+ gallons of ethanol. Greenshift has an upgraded version of this corn oil system called method II. This upgrade can extract twice as much oil from the same amount of DDG. Method II can remove over 65 million gallons a year instead of 32M.

Cellulosic oil is refered to as method III. This can extract over 100 million gallons instead of the 65 and 32 in the other methods.

Remember, these numbers are from the customers that we have licensed, or about 8% of the industry. The EPA estimates that by 2022, there'll be 680,000,000 gallons of corn oil extracted from ethanol plants. At $2 a gallon, this is $1.4 billion dollars. If corn oil hits $4 again, and it will. that's about $2.8 billion.

Greenshift would get 20% of that(over half a billion dollars)

Hope this helps...
