Yes on photography, but E-ore is someone else, on what used to be Gail's board.
My photos usually only get adjustments of brightness/contrast, the same as would happen with film at just about any lab....and cropped, some get shrunk or enlarged.
I like digital, have had some shots I took that were lack-luster, but on a whim flipped to sepia-tone or black 'n white, and Voila!...the subject matter POPS!
