[The master of pluots]

I worked as an assistant produce manager for several years and the pluot was a new fruit that got introduced about 10 yrs back. Anyways, we were required to carry it even though it didnt sell in our store. The company kept on putting them on sale and it would piss off the mgr. The rest of us thought it was funny, so on my day to order, I would always make sure to order at least one case of pluots. It became a running joke. I promoted the hell out of that product, trying to make it catch on...and to justify us having them. Good times....
