It does demonstrate that without a large group of shares being bought, the price is likely to collapse if anyone wants to sell.
When you have days like today, where the number of "sold shares" (nearer the bid than the ask) greatly exceeds the "bought shares", then you usually have a price drop. Hence that explains today's price decline.
The article does provide a good rationale for the long-term decline and the likelihood of the price continuing down unless more buyers step up with some big dollars.
