Lionsgate Entertainment was founded in 1995.
Its first major box office success was American Psycho in 2000.
Hmmmm – so they had to wait FIVE YEARS for their first box office success….their first theatrical releases were flops…clearly not a good company….I would have sold all my shares there and then…t.oh, but wait!!.........
Lionsgate is now considered the most commercially successful independent film and television distribution company in North America!!
What??
And their most recent release was The Expendables which has just shot to the top of the US Box Office!
Well! who’d have thunk it!?

Maybe we should give Hannover a break and be realistic about how this business operates. Even huge budget movies with gazillions spent on advertising frequently flop. Eric is walking the line between risk and reward. Only a matter of time before our first big hit – meantime we have the core business as a safety net for the PPS.
