This article dated 2009 says there were only 2 cell companies operating which is good ..BUT that doesnt jive with another article I found updated 4-30-201 that says 5 providers operating ..another wiki states just under 8 million subscribers ...so maybe one of those 5 units is the target of the R U M O R E D aquisition......

Digicel acquires Orange Telecom's Dominica unit

Jamacia-based mobile phone company Digicel has acquired Orange, France Telecom's cellular operation in Dominica, leaving just two wireless companies on the island.

Digicel said it had completed the acquisition of Orange Dominica but did not disclose terms or say how many new customers it would add. " ........................"and its other mobile phone company is LIME, previously known as Cable & Wireless Ltd. Digicel entered the market in 2006."
